InspecVision Planar

InspecVision Planar machines are extremely flexible and can be used for a wide variety of functions:

Quality Assurance

The output of Planar machines can be used to detect machine defects and tool wear long before these defects could be spotted by manual means.

First Article Inspection

First article inspection reduces scrap and time loss and is essential in any Just In Time factory environment.

Continuous On-Line Inspection

The speed of the Planar inspection machine will permit these machines to be used for continuous on-line inspection without affecting production speed. For on-line inspection the Planar machine can be integrated with the production machines.

Statistical Process Control

The output of Planar machines can be used for SPC analysis. The software supplied by InspecVision can automatically create inspection reports for components.

Issue of Certificates of Conformance

Many clients demand a declaration with each batch to confirm that the materials supplied meet the clients specifications. The InspecVision software includes the facility to automatically generate a certificate of conformance.

Reverse Engineering

Subcontract sheet metal fabricators are frequently requested to produce components from samples instead of drawings. The InspecVision software includes a module which permits the generation of CAD drawings from sample components.

Materials Thickness Measurement

The Planar laser sensor can be used to check the thickness of fabricated components as well as incoming materials.

Materials Flatness Measurement

Most laser cutting machines and turret punch presses require materials to be very flat. The flatness of incoming materials can be verified on Planar machines.

2.1/2D Measurement

The Planar laser can also be used to measure key dimensions of 3D forms such as bosses and ventilation louvres capable of being produced on a growing number of turret punch presses.
