COMPANY HISTORY

Press & Shear Machinery Ltd orginally formed in the early 1960's as "Sheet Metal Machinery Ltd" to distribute to the UK market, machinery of the highest quality, at a competitive price. A statement that is evident still in the company's philosophy.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Our technical support department provides application and technical support to both our existing, and potential customers, organises machine demonstrations and time studies whilst also providing support to the sale team.

Once a sale is agreed the department is responsible for the project management through to final machine sign off. Customer training is also organised by the Product Support Team in respect of programming, machine operation and tooling. Software demonstration and support is also handled by the technical department.

We provide ongoing support, irrespective of how long the machine has been installed, ensuring, where possible, we jeep our customers informed about new innovation and best practices.

AFTER-SALES SERVICE

Our team of service technicians support, not only the latest equipment installed by Press & Shear, but also all of our long established installations, some of which date back more than 40 years. Our engineers undergo extensive product training supported by our overseas partners.

The aim of all Press & Shear service personnel is to provide a hogh qualit, next day service with the minimum of disruption to our customers production. Service contracts are tailored and timed to mee the user's production requirements,

It is often well within the ability of our customers to deal with small problems that may arise. We offer a telephone support service to give advice, enabling the problem to be solved quickly so the machine may be returned to service with the minimum loss of production.

SPARE PARTS DEPARTMENT

Press & Shear carry an extensive range of spare parts. In addition to spares, a comprehensive range of press brake tooling, manufactured by Tecnostamp Italy, is also held in stock. A web site for the press brake tooling is on-line at www.pressbraketooling.com showing examples of the vast range available for various types of press brake. All part movements are controlled bu a computerised stock control system.

Our objective is to provide same-day despatch of items in stock from either the Tamworth site or, if required, directly to the end user from our principles - hence keeping downtime to a minimum.

The experienced Press & Shear spares team, backed by our priciplrs technical support departments, endevour to indentify, correctly quote, and supply parts and tooling to the end user in the shortest possible lead time.

Not forgetting our roots we still supply (where available) parts for older machines, such as Promecam, Elga hydra shear and Peddinghaus some of which date back to the early 1960's, we also supply shear blades and steelworker tooling.
